Pledge Chairs in London tasked me with generating 4k 3D visuals and CAD models of their new furniture ranges for their catalogue and website.

The Cortado range features organic curves and three different frame types in two sizes, with and without armrests. The above image shows the metal leg version with wood-topped armrests.

The client also requested the CAD models, which were created using 3DS Max, for their CAD library. They can then import these models into packages such as pCon for space planning and additional renders.

Pledge's Cabana modular booth was rendered in a selection of fabrics and at various angles to best promoted the new product.

The Hyde booth range comes as an open pod unit and with glass partitions and a door. The glass is offered with vinyl manifestations for safety and visual impact. I supplied the client with 3D models and renders of all variations.

Eric the Scarecrow resin model

The initial brief asked me to take a 2D vector scarecrow character from a logo and generate a 3D model that would be suitable for 3D printing in resin.

The charity's brand and mascot, Eric the Scarecrow, has been recently redesigned and modernised. Their graphic designer asked me to 3D model Eric in order to 3D print a large display item promoting their scarecrow festival in the local telephone box, and to create merchanside to sell to raise funds for the charity.

The client was so delighted with the final result that I've been asked to create animations of the character for use as intro sequences on their videos and as standalone short video promos on social media.

The STL model was imported into 3D printing software and his head was output at 35 and 400 mm widths, and his full frame was output at 150 mm high.

The large head is shown above which was used for the telephone box display.

The full model was 3D printed in resin then airbrush painted to create a 150 mm high model for sale - shown below. The charity are planning to use the smaller heads for keyrings at the next festival.

This was an exercise in modelling, texturing, and material creation in addition to shading and lighting. The outcome was to produce a photorealistic model incorporating each of these components.

These illustrations were part of a research project analysing the effectiveness of traditional art techniques compared to A.I imaging software.

The character's backstory is as follows:

In a world where malevolent scientists are experimenting with the implementation of Artificial Intelligence into the human brain, the first human trial resulted in a catastrophic outcome. The subject obtained immense power but at the cost of their humanity and, nearly a hundred years later, humans have been almost entirely eradicated by this artificially enhanced being.

These characters were created for use in an isometric co-op game created in Unity.

They were designed to feature a range of different styles and personalities.

The purpose of this project was to experiment with a character that showcased the personality and visual impact of a fantasy creature.

The Ogre was posed to reflect his character and a range of expressions.

Working in a team, this model was created to be included in a rustic barn alongside a quirky robot.

The dog was created with a stylised approach to work alongside the other elements of the project.

For this project, I created a portrait poster showcasing a selection of my recent character designs.

The characters were compiled into a scene where they were posed to reflect their individual personalities. Despite being from completely distinct projects, they work together to form a plausible ensemble.

These characters were inspired by the features and personalities of hyenas and vultures. They have been modelled in 3DS Max, then posed and rendered in Maya.

The characters were placed in an environment to suit their animal influences.
