      <title>Taking a Stand</title>

           In a world where resources should be protected with restrained use of materials and energy, innovative design is no longer a choice – it’s a necessity. This project's aim was to design, present, and build an item that would stand the test of time without costing the world - in more ways than one.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           I designed this agile, slot-together stand for Saxen Interiors, initially for a 2 x 2-metre footprint, to promote Saxen’s newly launched RefurbHub. The brief was to showcase the company's products while reflecting a deep commitment to sustainability.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           As shown above, it has already enjoyed its second, expanded iteration in its permanent home at Il Salotto, increasing to a 4 x 2-metre installation. An additional 2x2-metre stand was manufactured for the sales team to take to trade events.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            The concept focused on creating a stand from sustainable, tactile birch ply that can be easily added to, reconfigured, and relocated as needed, without tools. Its components can be easily switched to adapt to new product displays, making this stand useful for years to come. 
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The shelf display is constructed from movable pegs that can be adjusted to display replacement furniture components, while the noughts-and-crosses panel promotes visitor interaction using gameplay. This is further enhanced with branded wooden yo-yos as give-aways.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

           I generated a range of animated videos and stills for Saxen to promote their event on social media and their website.

           , I 3D-modelled, textured, rigged, animated, and rendered their products across a variety of environments.
          &#xD;

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Working closely with the Creative Director, I created detailed 3D models of their range of office and gaming chairs and utilised Unreal Engine to produce a huge library of striking stills and dynamic animations across a variety of environments, which were used as promotional material for their website and social media platforms.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           My results were so successful that the Chinese manufacturer has purchased all my content to distribute across its global dealer network.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;

            Collaborating closely with the executive and design teams, I developed accurate 3D models of their

           Ergohuman
          &#xD;

            office chair collection that highlighted each product’s unique features. I placed these models in various environments — modern offices, cosy home offices, and artistic studios, creating immersive settings that resonated with our audience.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;

           The roomset images were designed to appeal to both retail and commercial dealer markets.

           Additionally, I produced animated presentations that showcased our products' functionality and aesthetic appeal, serving as effective marketing tools. My work enhanced Comfort Seating's visual identity, emphasising quality, comfort, and design while reinforcing my passion for 3D visualisation. I was also responsible for incorporating their branding – working within tight brand guidelines, and selecting and choreographing the animations to licensed music.
          &#xD;

           The videos below are just a small selection of the animated content I created for use on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and two company websites. These videos are now being rebranded for various international markets in Africa, Asia, North and South America, Australia, and across Europe.

      <title>Clockwork Cowboy</title>

            I illustrated a concept design for the character to use as a reference when creating the character. This design evolved slightly during the creation of the 3D model, while remaining true to its core.

&lt;div&gt;&#xD;

           After creating a low poly basemesh, a high polygon duplicate was used to sculpt details that were later baked into the textures of the character. This allowed for the model to remain at a reasonable poly count while retaining the high level of detail from the sculpt.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div&gt;&#xD;

           After finalising the model and textures, the character was rigged, paying special attention to his robotic arm so it could deform correctly, with the pivot points set to the locations where the hinges and swivel points were modelled.

&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

           These renders showcase the personality and expression of the character.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

           Using AI, I was able to take the character and composite him into an environment, showcasing how he would look in a film or game.

      <title>Marilyan Space Wizards</title>

           I am developing a sci-fi fantasy side-scrolling platform game with a heavy focus on gravity mechanics.

&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Initially, I focused on designing and illustrating the playable character, Walter. The objective was to create an endearing, slightly quirky elderly wizard who would serve as a foundation for further variations featuring diverse costumes and hairstyles.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div&gt;&#xD;

           Once the final design was agreed upon by the team, the next stage was creating a low-poly 3D mesh for the character that would allow for a wide range of motion and cartoonish animation. The character was then rigged and ready for export to Unity.

           Below is a WIP character blockout for the game's main antagonist, along with his concept design.

           Pledge Chairs in London tasked me with generating 4k 3D visuals and CAD models of their new furniture ranges for their catalogue and website.

           The Cortado range features organic curves and three different frame types in two sizes, with and without armrests. The above image shows the metal leg version with wood-topped armrests.

           The initial brief asked me to take a 2D vector scarecrow character from a logo and generate a 3D model that would be suitable for 3D printing in resin.
          &#xD;

&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div&gt;&#xD;

           The charity's brand and mascot, Eric the Scarecrow, has been recently redesigned and modernised. Their graphic designer asked me to 3D model Eric in order to 3D print a large display item promoting their scarecrow festival in the local telephone box, and to create merchanside to sell to raise funds for the charity.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The client was so delighted with the final result that I've been asked to create animations of the character for use as intro sequences on their videos and as standalone short video promos on social media.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div&gt;&#xD;

           The STL model was imported into 3D printing software and his head was output at 35 and 400 mm widths, and his full frame was output at 150 mm high.
          &#xD;

&lt;div&gt;&#xD;

            The large head is shown above which was used for the telephone box display.

      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

           The full model was 3D printed in resin then airbrush painted to create a 150 mm high model for sale - shown below. The charity are planning to use the smaller heads for keyrings at the next festival.

The subject obtained immense power but at the cost of their humanity and, nearly a hundred years later, humans have been almost entirely eradicated by this artificially enhanced being.

           The purpose of this project was to experiment with a character that showcased the personality and visual impact of a fantasy creature.

           These characters were inspired by the features and personalities of hyenas and vultures. They have been modelled in 3DS Max, then posed and rendered in Maya.
